I was told to be grateful recently....so here it is...
I am grateful that my kids feel safe enough to tell me they're unhappy with me.
I am grateful that I can talk about the complex layers of homelessness with my kids. It's not criminal but a symptom of this fucked capitalistic machine.
I'm grateful my kids know how to be ethical without some "savior" threatening them into "goodness."
I am grateful to be aware of what it takes to make anything in this world. ie. phones, clothing, cars, etc.etc.
I am grateful for truth.
I am grateful to understand that I don't know it all.
I am grateful for the clean water I drink.
I am grateful to have food.
I am grateful that I have a warm place to live.
I am grateful for the wind. Seriously! Almost on par with being at the beach.
I am grateful for a working vehicle.
I am grateful for barefooted moments in nature.
I am grateful for sunrises, and sunsets.
I am grateful for darkness.
I am grateful for knowing how incredibly small I am in comparison to the macroverse.
I am also grateful in knowing how my small self can move mountains, if I just put my mind to it.
I am grateful for sunlight through red autumn leaves.
I am grateful for falling leaves.
I am grateful for art and the artists.
I am grateful for Pado.
I am grateful for breathe.
It's a good thing for me to remember the things I am privileged to have. I never want to forget about all the things that help me continue to grow, especially since many others, somewhere else, are fighting to survive without. I want to help those people. And I will.
Just some simple reminders for myself...
All my love,
Amber
